feel royal
In Feel Royal, Rachelle Toarmino reconstructs the text found on clothing worn by celebrities in paparazzi photographs. Through a process that is both manipulation of and collaboration with the featured celebrities, the project explores the reflective and refractive qualities of internet-age fan culture as an outlet for obsession.
Prior to its publication as a chapbook with b l u s h, the poems in Feel Royal were published as a microchapbook trilogy with Ghost City Press: Graphic (2017), Graphic 2 (2018), and Graphic 3 (2019).
