Flower print pants (Never worn) - Depop

   after Kim Deal

Remember Barbageddon?

That day off you accidentally

took - how the hang the next night

got bleak where the purple streets

go crooked by the Fright Factory -

your story kept open

like a locket with pictures

of your friends - your cat -

a few words to remember -

It even sings to you -

of the wonder

of all salvation -

of a Sunday afternoon -

but everyone's born

under one moon or another

Where is home

in your hot pink future?

You verb around this wilderness -

with nightlights hooked

like a thicket in your pupils -

collecting EXP., and waiting on

the she -

the whispered -

the blue iguana -

most sensitive

to metaphor -

You meanderer

you tease

you flop

you fowl

Throngs thud the atmosphere -

a head cold - a green ocean

breaking on an autumn beach

like breaths at the ends of lines

and your memories hold you

in the daylight?
